Tom,
It is acceptable to have a break in the sheetrock in the interior braced wall panel at the landing and stair stringer locations. The top
and bottom connections are still to be made and along the panel length and are probably the most important part of the bracing.
Due to the fact that there is actually more than 6 -feet of full height wall available where this 4 -foot panel is and that the landing and
stringers will provide a bit more stiffness to this panel, it is our opinion that the break in the sheetrock is acceptable.
