Two sections of dog obedience training are offered
this spring. The novice section is for dogs that
have completed the beginner class. The beginner
section is for dogs that have had no prior obedience
work.
Class requirements are: The dog must be 9 months
old or older. The handier may be an adult or youth,
11 years or older; however, the same individual must
work the dog at each class session. Certificate of
rabies vaccination must be brought to the first class.
Equipment needed includes: a choker chain and a 6
foot leather leash.

IIMMEMEMOMI
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a boating
safety class primarily for the 13 to 17 year age group;
however, the sessions are also open to adults. This
6 session seminar will lead to the certification neces-
sary for teen -agers to legally operate water craft
in the State of Minnesota. The classes will be taught
by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. The registration fee
covers the cost of the materials used.

How to find and prepare for interesting local, state,
and regional bicycle trips. How to locate good urban
commuting routes. Trip planning, use of maps, what
to take, physical conditioning, traffic hazards, etc.
Instructor is an experienced bicycle tourer and com-
muter. Class will plan and carry out.a bicycle trip.
(Participants are encouraged to have a multigeared

tree diseases that have been encountered in the City.

Registration for summer swim classes at the Rosemount
Middle Pool will be held from 7 -9 p.m., Tuesday, June
1, at the Rosemount Middle Gym. There will be four two -
week sessions: Session I (June 7 -18); Session II (June
21 -July 2); Session III (July 5 -16); Session IV (July

SPECIAL NOTE: On June 1, you may pre - register for
class(es) offered during any of the four sessions. Addi-
tional registration times from 7 -9 p.m., on June 17,

SUMMER THEATRE: THE WIZARD OF OZ
Tickets for the Summer Theatre Production of "The Wizard
of Oz" are available from Monday, June 14, through Friday,
July 23, at 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the box office at Apple
Valley High School. Tickets are also available preceding
each performance at 7 p.m.
Dates of the performance are Thursday, Friday and Saturday
on July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24, beginning
at 8 p.m. Cost of tickets is $2.50 for students and $3.50
