Registration Deadlines
Registration deadlines are established for each class
to help provide a positive experience for recreation
program participants by ensuring appropriate staffing,
supplies and facilities to meet the registration needs.
We appreciate your understanding when we are not
able to accommodate cancellations, transfers or
registrations after the registration deadline.
Confirmations
Letters of confirmation are not sent. You can
assume that you are in the class you registered for
unless you receive a call to the contrary. We will call
you only if:
• The class you have requested has reached its
registration limit and you were placed on the
waiting list.
• Your second choice was processed.
• Your registration form is incomplete.
• Your class is being canceled due to insufficient
registration.
Wait Lists
Due to facility space and staff limitations, many
classes have registration limits. When classes have
reached their maximum registration, a waitlist will be
maintained.
You will remain on the waitlist until the class begins.
If an opening becomes available due to a cancellation,
it will be offered to the first/next person on the waitlist
until the opening is filled.
Every effort will be made to create additional class
sections and you will be contacted if your registration
is able to be accommodated. Once the class begins, if
we have been unable to accommodate you, we will
return the fee(s) paid.
Transferring classes
Eagan Parks and Recreation will make every effort
to accommodate your request to transfer to another
class, however, that may not always be possible.
4
Canceling a class
Registration fees for programs canceled by Parks
and Recreation will be fully refunded. No refunds
on team activities.
• If you cancel your class before the registration

can accommodate groups as large as 150 people.
Picnic necessities such as water and electricity are
available in the pavilion. Restroom facilities are
nearby.
The picnic pavilion at Trapp Farm Park features a
covered space, yet its openness creates the feeling of
being close to the trees and the water of Schwanz
Lake.
The Thomas Lake pavilion features similar
openness and the room to spread out. The feeling of
seclusion is surprising in our suburban setting.

Lake and provides excellent views of the Minnesota
River Valley Open space for picnic games, walking

Halloween Terror Trail
Ages: 6 to Adult
Bravery is a must if you plan to make your way
through the darkened woods at Northview Athletic
Park the night before Halloween!! You'll need to pick

goodies.
* **The Terror Trail is geared towards youth ages six
and older — parental discretion is advised. * **
A Treat Trail is offered as an alternative at the same
site earlier in the evening.
The Terror Trail begins at the southeast corner of
the large parking lot.
Volunteers Wanted!
Imagine... You and a few friends get together,
decorate a dark woodsy area with all the Halloween
creativity you can muster, and devise a spooky plan
to send chills up and down the spines of
unsuspecting youth and adults.
Volunteers make the Terror Trail a sensation each
year. It's a great experience for community service
groups like high school dubs, scouts and other
groups and individuals looking to celebrate a night
of scary fun! Volunteer needs include trail guides,
spook - station characters, and people to help set -up
and take -down. Please call Cathy Bolduc at
651- 681 -43$5 if you are interested in assisting with
the spooky evening. Unfortunately, the Parks and
Recreation Department is NOT able to provide

Just for 5's
(and some 4's, too!)
Is your child going to kindergarten in the fall of
2001? Just for 5's is a class that helps prepare
children for kindergarten. They will explore a letter

experiences focusing on more detailed art projects
and longer group time to help practice sitting,
listening and raising their hands. This class is 3

Retired Persons has developed a nationally recognized driver safety program for the mature driver. Persons
50 years and older may participate. Minnesota law offers a 10% reduction in insurance rates for those 55
