YOU AND YOUR HEALTHY TREES Because trees typically grow to be very large, we sometimes think they are invincible and can't be harmed. But if there's one think the weather over the past couple of years has taught us, it's that trees actually are very vulnerable. Just as with people, trees that are in very good health can overcome many nuisance types of problems; conversely sick or stressed trees can sometimes be killed by these same problems. The best way to minimize tree problems is to keep your trees healthy. This seminar will provide proactive and reactive activities that you can do to keep your trees in tiptop shape. Topics will include a quick look at tree biology, tree selection for our area, proper tree planting, tree pruning, and follow -up maintenance activities. In general, City forestry staff will provide information on all aspects of tree care. Feel free to come with questions of your own. Our City of Eagan forestry staff will conduct this learning session. You will come away with information that will benefit you at home.
