Addition at 2107 Cliffhill Lane (Permit EA101657)
The City is in receipt of a building permit application for an addition to the single family
home /garage at 2107 Cliffhill Lane. The addition is two - stories and will add space both
above the garage and behind the garage resulting in a 3` stall. The existing garage has a 9-
foot sideyard setback. Setbacks in the R -1 zoning district are 5 feet for the garage and 10 feet
for the principal structure. The 2nd story portion of the addition will be stepped back four
feet, resulting in a 13 -foot setback.
The portion of the addition behind the garage is proposed to be flush with the existing garage
and designed so that the first three feet would not be habitable space. So long as no interior
alteration occurs to turn this into living space, the setbacks meet City Code requirements.
