The Lone Oak Room in the new Eagan Community Center is offering daily, weekly and monthly activities for seniors. The Senior Program Development Committee is working with seniors and city staff to develop a schedule of activities for everyone to enjoy. Currently clubs, including cards (lessons, tournaments), crafts (sewing and community service projects), books (lending library and discussion groups), a celebration and sympathy group, and a history group are scheduling times and activities in the Lone Oak Room. Your involvement and interest in these activities will help shape the senior program here in Eagan and make it successful. Many people have already begun giving input for the senior program. With the help of over 400 people that responded to a senior survey sent out in January, a list of people interested in volunteering with a club or activity area is being developed. When completed, this list will be used to help set up additional activities as well as identifying volunteers to assist with the overall operation of the new Lone Oak Room. In the meantime, enjoy the variety of activities coordinated by Eagan Parks. and Recreation and detailed every two months in the News From the Front Porch newsletter. If you are not currently on the mailing list and would like to be added, please call Eagan Parks and Recreation. Activity suggestions and volunteers are always appreciated and accepted by Cathy Bolduc at Eagan Parks and Recreation. • Discover the Benefits www.cityofeagan.co Summar/Fall 70n3 Senior Activities Inside the Bay View Cascade Bay from the "inside" with this interactive activity created pecially for YOU!
