Dear Mayor Maguire:
The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) is responsible for
administering the Housing Tax Credit Program in Dakota County. Applications for
2015 tax credits were due to the CDA on June 10, 2014.
The CDA received an application for an additional allocation of tax credits for the
Lakeshore Townhome project in Eagan. The project was awarded its initial request
of tax credits September 2013.
The Lakeshore Family Housing Limited Partnership will build a 50 -unit new
construction workforce housing townhome development located at 1319 Jurdy
Road in Eagan. The project includes 3 one -bedroom units, 22 two-bedroom units,
and 25 three-bedroom units. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer of
2014. The Dakota County CDA is the general partner and will develop and manage
the property.
Upon receipt of a tax credit application, the CDA is required to notify the Mayor and
staff of the city in which the project is located for review and comment prior to
forming a staff recommendation. If you have comments, please forward them to me
by July 31, 2014.
Once applications have been reviewed, they will be scored based on the Dakota
County CDA's Qualified Allocation Plan. Awards are expected to be approved at the
August 19, 2014 CDA Board meeting. If you have any questions, please contact me
at (651) 675-4478. Thank you.
Sincerely,
