1944 Safari Tr - Variance Infostorage, and assorted paperwork, plans, and a white board; room two had shelving, storage, old
furniture, bins, and assorted kids toys. Assorted posters of homes and advertising for real estate
was on the walls. Robert commented he used to work for McDonald Construction, works for
Keller Real Estate, and builds homes too. Room one had the double door which previously led
to the deck, which he secured with wood blocks screwed to the door frame.
• There was no evidence of water or sewer service; I told Robert he wasn't allowed any water or
sewer hook ups within the garage, asked him if he had any, and he said no.
• The garage does not meet the definition of living space.
• He is storing some real estate - related items within the garage, and he has some items which
could be construed as being used by a construction worker, but these same signs could be found
within any real estate agent's garage, and any homeowner's garage. I told him his variance was
approved with the condition that he not operate a business out of the garage. He said it's his
man -cave and a mess (true). He sits up there, chills out, works on his computer stuff, gets away
when he needs some peace and quiet to think, and sits in his massage
chair and watches TV. I told him a home occupation would involve having his clients come to
visit him there. I asked if he did that. He said no, he didn't, he does meet with clients but he
meets them at Pardon My French. There was no place for anyone to look at plans in this entire
garage unless they unrolled the plans on the concrete driveway, in my opinion.
That's all I have.
