COUNCIL MEMBERS
You probably recall the letter I sent you last fall indicating the City's intention to survey the
conservation easement area associated with your and your two neighbors' properties alongside
Thomas Hedges Blackhawk Park. This work was completed last November.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
Enclosed again for your reference is a copy of the conservation easement document recorded in
March 1989 for your property. I have also enclosed a map that shows the easement area. Such
easements, which are legal agreements between historical landowners and the City, prohibit
specific activities on the legally described areas and also allow any other activities as granted by
historical landowners. Conservation easements are permanent and "run with the properties."
MUNICIPAL CENTER Please be advised that last week the City installed 6 signs demarking the boundaries of this
3830 Pilot Knob Road easement area for future reference. Please inspect your portion of the easement area and remove
Eagan, MN 55122-1810 any items that may have been stored in this area, in order to be in compliance with the terms of
651.675.5000 phone the enclosed document. On behalf of the City, I request you follow through by no later than July
651.675.5012 fax 31, 2008, after which time the City may verify compliance.
