1632 Hawk Pl - Ltr Conservation Easement City of all July 7, 2008 Mike Maguire MAYOR Jerod & Erin Gustafson 1632 Hawk Place Eagan, MN 55122 Paul Bakken Dear Jerod & Erin, Cyndee Fields Meg Tilley Re: Signing of Conservation Easement, Blackhawk Pond COUNCIL MEMBERS The City of Eagan holds about two dozen conservation easements that have been recorded on various land parcels throughout the City over the past 20 years. Such easements, which are legal Thomas Hedges agreements between historical landowners and the City, prohibit specific activities on the legally CITY ADMINISTRATOR described areas and also allow any other activities as granted by historical landowners. Conservation easements are permanent and "run with the properties." Enclosed for your reference is a copy of the conservation easement document recorded in March 1989 associated with your three neighbors' properties alongside Blackhawk Park. I have also enclosed a map that shows the easement area. Please note the short northerly boundary of the easement area is coincident with your southerly property boundary. MUNICIPAL CENTER 3830 Pilot Knob Road Please be advised that last week the City installed 6 signs demarking the boundaries of this Eagan, MN 55122-1810 easement area for future reference. 651.675.5000 phone 651.675.5012 fax Please feel free to contact me at (651) 675-5300 if you have any questions or concerns. 651.454.8535 TDD Sincerely, MAINTENANCE FACILITY 100, 3501 Coachman Point Eagan, MN 55122 Eric Macbeth 651.675.5300 phone Water Resources Coordinator 651.675.5360 fax 651.454.8535 TDD Enclosures: Conservation Easement Document #897946 Map of Easement Area www.cityofeagan.com Cc: Tom Colbert, Public Works Director Russ Matthys, City Engineer Mike Ridley, City Planner Mary Granley, Senior Code Enforcement Technician THE LONE OAK TREE The symbol of strength and growth in our community.
