Mr. Harrison ch dried the meeting. The minutes vmre approved as read.
The Cedar Athletic Association presented a list of those items which they
consider as 11amedi.ate needs for their present athletic program. These include?
grading of land, hockey and skating rinks, lights end a wa.,dng house at Rahn
School; a warming house at Rahn Park; and :rQn and equipment to maintain and
supervise the rinks. They also presented a concept plan drawn by Dale Everson,
an architect' for the park Io7otirn as Cedar Grove 7. The Park Board has asked for
cost e ,tiriates for these items al-.d members of the C.A.A. grill attend our next
mec„i,ng with these fi.g zrao.
I,,r. Jerry Hagermei.ster asked when our plans rr^garding his property would be
firm. He was advised that we plan to meet vith the To-am Board and the Planning
Cor~uaission when John Voss has professionally evaluated our plan. This would be
at or soon after our next meeting on Jung 9, 1970- We would exTect to be able
to give hian n ans-aer at that time. The loag range co =ittee will meet with
i1r. Voss prior to the next Park Board IFeeting to i ork on this presentation.
Mr. Paul Manseau reported on a request to enlarge the su.namer dance program
due to the aa.rge nartraber of registrations. Iio recam-nnends six more girls be hired
which vou?d double the original plans and bring the total cost to $300.00. The
Park Board agreed to suh dt this request at the next T(nm Board I,"eeti ng May 19th.
Mrs. Engborg indicated that the Clads Garden Club would like to participate
in improving Cedar Pond Park and as Djie Everson has agreed to work on plans for
that area and for Icahn Park she vrill wait for his presentation to see where their
help would be i-aost needed. The W.C.A.O. has indicated that they have purchased
park benches for Cedar Pond Park. This information and a request from Carlos
McKee for a fence betareon his property and a ball diamond on Rahn Park will. also
be turned over to the Short Range Committee to be considered when these plans
are received.
Mr. Harrison reported on touring the park sites with Mr. Otto Schmid of
Urban PIG.ria2ung. He agreed to study Outlet F in Cedar Grove 6 for possible devel-
opment.
Resignations have been received from Helen Scott' Loren Maxfield, Paul. Allisnr\
and Paul Manseau. All have i..ndd catod coainizcd support end interest in our pro-
gram but feel that they don°t have the time to contribute due to other comrmittments.
Mr. Uselzna c\advi sed us that the matter of nc-v appointments will be taken tip at
the next, Tov,,m Board meeting. A list of candidates will be prepared and submitted.
