APPLICATION SUMMARY: The Minnesota Multiple Sclerosis Society has submitted an
application for a Special Use Permit to allow a fund raiser outside the Cliff Lake Cub Foods
on June 25, 26, and 27th.
The three-day Root Beer Float Days event is sponsored by Cub Foods, Kemps, Pepsi,
A&W, and Minnesota Promotions. The event runs 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. each day and is
staffed by volunteers. In 1992, the 20 Cub Food store event locations raised $30,000 for the
program, services, and research for the Minnesota Multiple Sclerosis Society. In its ninth
year, Root Beer Float Days have been a successful event.
The applicant is proposing a booth located on the sidewalk in front of the store between the
entrance and exit doors.
If approved, this Special Use Permit shall be subject to the following:
1. No interference with vehicular traffic circulation.
2. Permit expires at 6:00 p.m. on June 27th.
3. All applicable City Ccde requirements.
