There is an area above the master bedroom walk in closet where Mike Stoffel (crew sub'd out by CCC)where the roof trusses over the 3rd stall garage meets some hand framing for the roof above the walk-in closet 2 • above 2-car garage. Mike and his crew nailed on the handframed 2x12 rafter ends and sistered them onto the end of the A-1 trusses-see attached diagrams and plans. I will also send a second email with some site pictures of the issue/concern. The city inspector wants some type of "engineering"to show that this will work-or show on a new"truss profile"sheet showing this 2x12 is ok to be nailed onto the existing truss. Maybe something will be needed?? Possibly a wall built under it?? I need to get an answer on Monday-so I can proceed with the home. Call me if you have any questions.
