City of Eagan Zoning Department,
I am writing this in support of the proposed plan to replace my back yard fence along Pilot Knob Road
that was damaged in the severe storm of May 8, 2014. Due to this damage and the damage received
during last year's August 6`h severe storm,we have decided to replace the fence.
The plan is to use a different style of board over lap, but the dimensions will remain the same on the
new fence as they were with the previous fence. The height will be no different than before. As you can
see from the picture of the previous fence where the city drug into the grade allow water flow to the
culvert the land slopes down to that point. The fence is a six foot fence maintained at the same height
throughout its entirety. In the area of the dip the depth of the fence changes to maintain privacy
through the area, but the height remains the same.
Public perception from both Pilot Knob Road and the walking path is maintained as a six foot fence.
Although the fence is a six foot fence, due to the area of the drain there will be boards that will be
longer than 6 feet used, and that is why this is reflected in the plans. But as stated above,the height of
the fence will be maintained at 6 feet from the surrounding grade.
