11/13/1992 - City Council Special MEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILMEMBERS
FROM: CITY ADMINISTRATOR HEDGES
DATE: NOVEMBER 13, 1992
SUBJECT: SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Mayor Egan has canceled the special City Council meeting that was originally scheduled for
5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17. The purpose of that meeting was to discuss either the
operating budget or the capital improvements budget if necessary. Since the operating
budgets were discussed at the November 10 workshop and the CIP is scheduled as part of
a special workshop on December 8, there is no longer a specific purpose for the special
meeting on November 17.
The City Administrator has contacted the press notifying them of the cancellation.
As a reminder, mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 24, for a special workshop
session with the Advisory Planning Commission and December 8 for the special workshop
that will more than likely be held at Mary, Mother of the Church that will include a review
of the five (5) year CIP and public hearing for the Cedar Grove reconstruction. The other
possible date for a workshop is Wednesday, December 9, the date that was selected for a
continuation date if the budget hearing is continued on December 1. Other than a special
meeting at 5:00 p.m. on either December 1 or 15, there should be no additional workshop
session scheduled.
As a reminder, Larry Wenzel, Chairperson of the Economic Development Commission, will
be present at the November 17 City Council meeting and officially recognized at the
beginning of the meeting for his volunteerism as a Charter Member and only Chair of the
Economic Development Commission.
