Confirmation of Enrollment
Confirmations will not be sent. You can
assume that you are in the class(es) you
registered for unless you receive a call to
the contrary.
Recommended Attire
Eagan Parks & Recreation strongly
suggest snowpants, helmets and gloves/
mittens, especially for skaters ages 6 and
under. We also recommend that newer
skaters start in figure skates. The longer
and flatter blade assists in learning to
balance quicker. Skate and helmet rental is
available at the Civic Arena.
Space will be available on a first come, first served basis until class is full. Eagan Parks & Recreation reserves the right to limit class
size and enrollment. Full payment must accompany the registration form. Classes with 1-2 skaters that have not been cancelled will
receive a 15 minute private/semi-private lesson with the remainder practice time. For more information on skating lessons, please
contact the Skating School Coordinator at (651) 675-5453. Note: If you are new to the program, place your skater in a lower level
than you think, as each skater is evaluated the first day of lessons.

Welcome to Preschool
The City of Eagan Parks & Recreation Department welcomes you and
your preschooler to a wide selection of quality preschool programs.
Eagan Parks & Recreation preschool program’s focus is on the
social development of children ages two through five years old.
Participants will benefit by developing their social skills through play,
art, projects, stories, songs, games, and outside play. Participants will
also have the opportunity to develop their independence, self-help
and sharing skills and learn to follow directions.
Teachers are experienced instructors committed to offering your
preschooler a positive experience and providing support for your
child’s first school years. The program has been serving the community since 1978
and continues to provide quality programs and new opportunities for all participants.
Each year new classes begin in January, March, June and September.
Eagan Parks & Recreation uses the following guide lines to define who is a
preschooler for participation in our programs:
• Children who are the appropriate age on or before the first day of class.
• Children who are completely toilet trained and independent in the bathroom.
• Children are required to wear underwear; pull-up type diapers are not allowed.
• Toilet training is not required for children registered in parent/child classes.
• Bright Beginnings and Let’s Play! Music Together classes are for children who
are the age stated in the class and accompanied by an adult. Additional siblings
are welcome, when age appropriate and additional fees paid as listed in the
program.
• Just for 5’s (and some 4’s, too!) class is for children who are the appropriate age
to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2015.
Please note:
Due to the popularity of our preschool program, classes tend to fill up quickly. Wait
lists will be maintained in a manner that accommodates participants new to the
program.
Participants enrolled in more than one preschool class per session may experience
programming duplication between classes.

QuickStart Tennis Lessons
Ages 5-10
Hey kids! There is no better time to start playing tennis than
now! QuickStart tennis is a new and exciting format for learning the
game of tennis.
USTA (United States Tennis Association) created the QuickStart format to cater
directly to younger beginning tennis players. The QuickStart tennis format changed
the net size, court size, balls, rackets and scoring system. The program is designed
to help children succeed but also focuses on having fun through games, relays and
instruction. Participants are asked to wear tennis shoes, bring their racket and a
water bottle. A limited number of rackets will be available for those without one.
The lessons are broken down into two one-week sessions. Registrants are required
to sign up for Session I before signing up for Session II in order to get the best
possible experience. The two sessions do not have to be taken consecutively.
Juniors Tennis Lessons
Ages 10-12
Junior Tennis lessons are geared
towards pre-teens with little or no
tennis experience. Lessons provide an
opportunity to develop and practice basic
tennis skills. Youth will practice a new
skill each day, learn correct techniques for
various skills, review a previously learned
skill and participate in games to help
reinforce skills taught. Participants should
wear appropriate clothing, bring water
and a racket.

Paint Stronger and Simpler Watercolors
Adults 18+
There seems to be a never-ending quest for watercolor painters to ‘loosen up’. However, to paint loosely you have to have confidence in your abilities and a willingness to let go of detail. In this workshop, learn to simplify a scene into larger shapes that will help you paint more boldly. There will be an emphasis on value studies from the outset. Mr. Evansen will complete at least one demonstration painting each day, covering topics such as drawing, skies, trees, buildings, water, and figures. By the end of the class, you'll have information to guide you on your path to painting impressionistic watercolors. Andy Evansen is an award winning watercolor painter and sought after workshop instructor. View his work at www.andyevansen.com. For a supply list, go to www.eaganarthouse.org.
