FROM: CITY ADMINISTRATOR HEDGES
DATE: NOVEMBER 13, 1989
SUBJECT: SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
A special City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November
14 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. As the attached
agenda indicates, there are two (2) formal items of business which
include 1) a bid award for the $9, 325,000 general obligation
improvement bonds, Series 1989 A and a $290, 000 general obligation
equipment certificates of indebtedness, Series 1989 B, 2) an
update/status report on the grading improvements that are proposed
for the Stafford Place Development.
If the Stafford Place discussion is brief and time permits, I would
like an opportunity to present the Police Association demands and
receive some direction so I can continue negotiations with that
group. Also, John Nasseff, West Publishing Company, would like to
proceed with a dinner and tour of the Eagan facility and has
selected Monday, December 4 as a date. Mr. Nasseff has extended
the invitation to the Mayor, City Councilmembers, City
Administrator, all members of the Advisory Planning Commission and
department heads. Also included are spouses or a guest. The event
will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a tour of the facility and then
followed by a buffet dinner at approximately 6:45 to 7:00 p.m.
As a reminder to those members of the City Council who are planning
a field inspection of whether the City should acquire certain lots
in Lexington Point 4th and 5th Addition, please plan to meet the
Director of Parks and Recreation at approximately 4 :00 to 4: 15 p.m.
at the Trapp Farm shelter building located off Wilderness Run Road.
Realizing there could be residents from the Stafford Place Addition
present for the 5: 00 p.m. special Council meeting, we have planned
the field inspection to last no longer than 20 to 30 minutes.
