Minnesota River to the East and the Mississippi River to the North and West.
Over 1,000 acres of the Minnesota Valley Wildlife Refuge and 1,500 acres
of the county's Regional Park with swimming, fishing, boating hiking, horse
trails and picnic grounds surround the City.
Located just 5 minutes from the Mall of America - the world's largest indoor
shopping Mall with over 500 stores, Eagan offers l ,500 hotel rooms and over
70 restaurants.

History During the 1700's the Mdewakanton Tribe of the Dakota
Indians built villages. Immigrants arrived in the 1800's and
agriculture was the main occupation and the area was called
the "Onion Capital." Eagan was officially designated a city
in 1974 and named a "Star City" in 1984.
A modern, efficient freeway system connects Eagan with Minneapolis -St. Pau
which offers a vast array of cultural entertainment, major league sports, the-
aters, museums and world-class shopping.
