The following topics have been proposed by Commissioners and/or staff for consideration by the ARC as
possible discussion topics/goals for 2009-2010. The final recommendation of the Commission will be presented
to the City Council.
Public Safety/Security
• Emergency Response to an aircraft accident in Eagan:
Medical, Fire, Police, First Responders - jurisdiction, communication, financial responsibilities, hand-offs,
clean-up
• Security coordination between Eagan and Airport authorities (TSA, FAA, MAC, Airport Police, other)
Environment
• Fuel Dumping procedures - how it impacts Eagan
• Pollution Considerations (Ground water, run off, air quality)
• Migratory birds
Communication/Partnerships
• Display for next Showcase Eagan Event (2011)
• Promotional & marketing partnership opportunities between Eagan and MSP
• Delta/Northwest employees who live in Eagan
• Relationship with Military - Guard and Reserves
• Joint meeting with Mendota Heights ARC
o Invite Carl Rydeen, FAA Tower Manager to discuss Eagan/Mendota Heights Corridor, nighttime
traffic, etc.
o Fleet mix and merger discussion
o Strategies for communicating with staff on airport issues
Relationship with the MAC
• Invite John Nelson to provide update on Noise Mitigation Program (Phase 2A,B, and reimbursement)—
fall/winter 2009 (Phase 2B--$14K package—will start in January 2010)
• Review of new ANOMS system and MAC Web capabilities (for September NOC mtg)
• Invite MAC Commissioner Bert McKasy to an ARC mtg for a MAC update
• Continue monitoring RNAV procedures and use of GPS technology for departures and final approaches.
• Review of MAC 2030 Plan when available
Economic Development
• Status/Future of Delta/Northwest HQ
• Presence of other airlines in community
• Eagan businesses that rely on MSP traffic
