Refunds, Cancellations and
Make-up PolicyNo refunds are issued after classes begin. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis for skaters ages 3 and under. There are no make-up lessons.
Confirmation of EnrollmentConfirmations will not be sent. You can assume that you are in the class(es) you registered for unless you receive a call to the contrary.
Recommended AttireEagan Parks & Recreation strongly suggest snow pants, helmets and gloves/mittens, especially for skaters ages 6 and under. We also recommend that newer skaters start in figure skates. The longer and flatter blade assists in learning to balance quicker. Skate and helmet rental is available at the Civic Arena.
Eagan Skate School Registration Information
Space will be available on a first come, first served basis until class is full. Eagan Parks & Recreation reserves the right to limit class
size and enrollment. Full payment must accompany the registration form. Classes with 1-2 skaters that have not been cancelled will
receive a 15 minute private/semi-private lesson with the remainder practice time. For more information on skating lessons, please
contact the Skating School Coordinator at (651) 675-5453. Note: If you are new to the program, place your skater in a lower level
than you think, as each skater is evaluated the first day of lessons.

Welcome to Preschool
The City of Eagan Parks & Recreation
Department welcomes you and your
preschooler to a wide selection of
quality preschool programs. Eagan
Parks & Recreation preschool
program’s focus is on the social
development of children ages two
through five years old. Participants
will benefit by developing their social
skills through play, art, projects,
stories, songs, games, and outside play.
Participants will also have the opportunity to develop their independence, self-help
and sharing skills and learn to follow directions.
Teachers are experienced instructors
committed to offering your preschooler
a positive experience and providing
support for your child’s first school
years. The program has been serving
the community since 1978 and continues
to provide quality programs and new
opportunities for all participants. Each
year new classes begin in January, March,
June and September.
Eagan Parks & Recreation uses the following guide lines to define who is a
preschooler for participation in our programs:
• Children who are the appropriate age on or before the first day of class.
• Children who are completely toilet trained and independent in the bathroom.
• Children are required to wear underwear; pull-up type diapers are not allowed.
• Toilet training is not required for children registered in parent/child classes.
• Bright Beginnings and Let’s Play! Music Together classes are for children who
are the age stated in the class and accompanied by an adult. Additional siblings
are welcome, when age appropriate and additional fees paid as listed in the
program.
• Just for 5’s (and some 4’s, too!) class is for children who are the appropriate age
to enter kindergarten in the Fall of 2016.
Please note:
Due to the popularity of our preschool program, classes tend to fill up quickly. Wait
lists will be maintained in a manner that accommodates participants new to the
program.
Participants enrolled in more than
one preschool class per session
may experience programming
duplication between classes.

QuickStart Beginner Tennis Lessons
Ages 4-10
Hey kids! There is no better time to start playing tennis than now! QuickStart tennis
is a format for learning the game of tennis. The goal of the QuickStart Beginner
Lessons is to introduce the game of tennis to children in a fun and engaging way.
USTA (United States Tennis Association) created the QuickStart format to cater
directly to younger beginning tennis players. To make it easier for the youngsters
to learn, the QuickStart tennis format changed the net size, the court size, the balls,
the rackets and even the scoring system to make it easier for younger players. The
program is designed to help children succeed but also focuses on having fun through
games, relays and instruction.
Participants are asked to wear tennis shoes, bring their racket and a water bottle. A
limited number of rackets will be available for those without one.

QuickStart Intermediate 1 & 2 Tennis Lessons
Ages 7-10
Hey kids! Looking for a chance to learn more about tennis? The goal
of the QuickStart Intermediate Lessons is for kids ages 7-10 to gain more knowledge
and experience playing tennis. These lessons are recommended for kids who have
taken tennis lessons before and who are ready to start learning about how to rally
back and forth with a partner. Intermediate 1 will learn more about forehands and
backhands, how to serve and how to volley correctly while also working on rally
skills. Intermediate 2 will learn more about controlling the ball, playing and scoring
a match, and different playing strategies.
USTA (United States Tennis Association) created the QuickStart format to cater
directly to younger beginning tennis players. To make it easier for the youngsters
to learn, the QuickStart tennis format changed the net size, the court size, the
balls, the rackets and even the scoring system to make it easier for younger

skills, review a previously learned skill and
participate in games to help reinforce skills
taught. Participants should wear appropriate
clothing, bring water and a racket. Must be at
least 10 years of age by the first day of class.

Posture Alignment Training (P.A.T.)
The foundation blocks of P.A.T. are: balance, movement
and correct stimulus. The sequential movements
devised with P.A.T. encourage the body to move as it
was constructed to move. The focus is to work from the
inside out, promoting structural strength and improving
overall health. P.A.T. addresses a variety of conditions
that cause muscle imbalances, joint dysfunctions, pain,
weakness or instability. It has the potential to restore
proper muscle function and joint motion while improving
overall strength, fitness and athleticism.
Purchase a 90 minute assessment today for $40 as a member, or $100 as a non-

Join the Eagan Fitness Center today and experience ever-
