How do you like our new News From the Front Porch, now a part of the Discover Catalog? There is so much inside to check out. Our usual daily activities in the Lone Oak Room at the Eagan Community Center are still intact, plus lots of events, classes and trips coming up. There are trips to Lindstrom that includes wine tasting and the Franconia Sculpture Park, Pops Orchestra at Nicollet Island, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and more. We are hosting a potluck/picnic on the patio with lawn games and serving up ice cream sundaes and music at Marketfest. We are a busy bunch that likes to have fun. So be sure and read on as we welcome summer in Minnesota! Our new Board Members now have had a few months under their wings; George Burbie, Karen Abrahamson, Margo Danner, Shirl Amundson and Kern Hough. I hope you have had an opportunity to meet them. We are always looking for volunteers for just a few hours per week to help with hosting the Lone Oak Room of the Eagan Community Center where the daily 55+ activities occur. So if you can help, just jump right in. If anyone has any ideas for new programs, events or trips, the Board is always open to hear them so don’t be shy, let us know.
