As a reminder, Committee meetings are scheduled for first the Entrance Markers at 4:00 p.m. in
Conference Rooms 2a & 2b at City Hall and then following at approximately 4:45 p.m. a Soccer
Committee meeting will be held to discuss the status of the Soccer/Athletic Complex.
ENTRANCE MARKERS COMMITTEE UPDATE
Enclosed is a copy of a memo the City Administrator sent Senior Planner Ridley following the Special
City Council Workshop last Tuesday, August 13. Mr. Ridley is preparing a response to the information
for presentation at the meeting on Tuesday.
SOCCER/ATHLETIC COMPLEX UPDATE
At the direction of the Committee, the City Attorney's office has done some preliminary work on property
values for the Bester property located in north Rosemount, adjoining 120'h Street near the Eagan corporate
border. The estimated value payable 2003 is $61,500. This is the estimated market value at
approximately $105,000 considering right-of-way acreage of 1.97 acres, water acreage at 2.4 acres and
total acreage at 40.61. We do not have any further information as to whether this property is green acred,
however, it is considered ag-preserve and contains a full homestead which is why the value is
considerably lower than its potential development.
Also attached is a copy of the memo with the attachments that was distributed to the Committee on
August 9, entitled "Entrance Markers and Soccer Complex".
