SUBJECT: SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR THURSDAY, JULY 23, 1987
I. POOL OF CONSULTANTS
The City Council will meet at approximately 6:45 p.m. to review a
pool of consultants concept with the Director of Public Works and
City Administrator.
II. DISCUSSION RE: AUTO SALES AND AUTO DEALERSHIPS
Beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. the City Council and Advisory
Planning Commission will convene and discuss appropriate land use
considerations for auto sales and auto dealerships. Mr. Bob Cruse
who is an employee of Lupient Olds and Vince Kennedy who owns Vince
Kennedy Sales and Leasing will both be present to discuss this issue
with the APC and City Council.
III.
DISCUSSION RE: FREEWAY ZONING CLASSIFICATION
At approximately 7:30 the City Council and Advisory Planning
Commission will hear a panel discussion on freeway zoning by Bob
Worthington, Opus Corporation; Rick Geshwiler, Director of Planning
for the City of Bloomington; and a representative of Strgar-Roscoe-
Fausch Engineering. Once the three panel members make their
presentations it is appropriate to further discuss the freeway
zoning classification that is presently under consideration by the
APC and City Council.
IV. FIREMEN'S RELIEF PENSION DISCUSSION
The City Council will convene to discuss the proposed Firemen's
Relief Pension Plan.
V. 1987 BUDGET TIME TABLE
The City Administrator will present the time table for the 1987
budget and a brief update on departmental proposals as they have
been received to date by his office.
