THRESHER FIELDS MARKER SIGN Joanna Foote reported that Gin Knight Kim Hazel and she traveled to Anoka on August 10, 2005 and visited their museum and viewed a variety of historical markers they have placed along a park/historic area within Anoka. This group later met with a representative of Vacker Signs, the company that created the signs for Anoka. The group is recommending that Eagan use this same company to create its signs as the material is reported to be extremely durable and far less expensive that the cast metal signs the group had been considering. Joanna and Gin will work on developing content and design for the sign which needs to be completed within 2005. EXPERIENCE EAGAN CITY SERVICES SHOWCASE PRESENTATION Joanna Foote introduced the item stating the Experience Eagan Open House will be held at the Community Center on September 22, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Committee discussed selling playing cards and the Lone Oak books and having flyers available about the 1914 Town Hall open house. The Committee stated they will set up a cash box for the sales. Ray and Mary Ellen volunteered to staff the table in shifts. 1914 TOWN HALL OPEN HOUSE Prior to the meeting Alyce, Kim and Joanna met at the 1914 Town Hall and looked things over in preparation for the Open House. The group then went to the Municipal Historical Committee August 2, 2005 Center to identify which items from the displays neededto be brought over to the Town Hall in advance of the open house on Sunday, September 25th from 11-1.
