EAGAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
AUGUST 1, 2006
A regular meeting of the Eagan Historical Committee was held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006
at 3:30 p.m. in the Eagan Room at Eagan City Hall. Members present were: Gin Knight, Kim
Hazel, Mar y Ellen Voracek, Jean Funk and Ted Wachter. Also present was Communications
Coordinator Foote.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Knight called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. Voracek made a motion to approve the
minutes of the July 11 , 2006 Eagan Historical Society meeting as presented. Hazel seconded the
motion. All members voted in favor.
DISCUSS INTERN PROJECTS/SUGGESTIONS/SCHEDULE
The Committee discussed Intern projects, suggestions, and her schedule; Foote noted that
the Intern is working on receiving approval to have her project overseen by someone at the
Minnesota Historical Society which could mean a number of very positive outcomes for the Eagan
Historical Society.
SEPTEMBER OPEN HOUSE PLANNING
Knight made a motion to hold an Open House on Sunday, September 24, 2006, from 11:00
to 1:00 p.m. at the Old Town Hall; Hazel seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
The Committee further discussed a work session to be held on September 6, 2006 at 1:00
p.m. to prepare for the Open House and to accomplish a number of other projects. This work
session will be followed by the regular meeting, which has been moved to the Wednesday, due to
the Monday, Labor Day holiday.
OTHER
Foote indicated that she needed a mailing address for Nancy Ingerson, Knight said she could
provide it.
The Committee discussed the need for business cards. Knight made a motion requesting the
Eagan Historical Society to have business cards printed; Funk seconded the motion. All members
voted in favor.
The Committee discussed the need for someone to check for voice mail messages directed to
the History Committee. Hazel volunteered to listen to any messages for the Committee and direct
them appropriatly.

NEXT HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
The next regular meeting of the Eagan Historical Society will be Wednesday, September 6,
2006 at 3:30 p.m. and a work session in advance at 1:00 p.m. that same day.
ADJOURNMENT
Funk made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 4:15 p.m. Hazel seconded the motion. All
members voted in favor.
