EAGAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
December 5, 2006
A regular meeting of the Eagan Historical Committee was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006
at 3:30 p.m. in the Eagan Room at Eagan City Hall. Members present were: Ted Wachter, Jean Funk,
Alyce Bolke, Kim Hazel, Gin Knight and Mary Ellen Voracek. Also present was Communications
Coordinator Foote.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Funk made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2006 Eagan Historical Society
meeting as presented. Hazel seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
FILING AND PROJECT ASSISTANCE THROUGH DECEMBER 2006
Knight made a motion to compensate Cyrstal Stevenson $250 for the work she’s done for the
History Committee. Bolke seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
OTHER PROJECTS
Members were asked if they are interested in coordinating activities with the Friends of the Holz
Farm Group in the future. Members stated that the Friends group had not seemed open to this in the past, but
the Historical Society is willing to consider a proposal from them if they are interested in something specific.
Members were asked to discuss their interest in coordinating another event for Flag Day with the
Eagan Seniors. The group indicated a willingness to discuss the idea further at the next meeting.
Foote indicated that she will be creating and purchasing business cards for use by Historical Society
members. An e-mail account has been set up for the Historical Society which is received in Foote’s in-box.
Note cards will also be designed and printed for use by the membership.
Knight made a motion to look into the purchase of two rectangular tables on wheels. Voracek
seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
NEXT HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
The Committee discussed the next meeting date. The Committee made a motion to change the date
of the regular meeting of the Historical Society from Tuesday, January 2, 2007 to Tuesday, January 9, 2007
at 3:30 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Bolke, second by Funk, the meeting was adjourned at 4:47 p.m.
