EAGAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
TUESDAY
NOVEMBER 18, 2008
3:30 p.m. – EAGAN ROOM
A regular meeting of the Eagan Historical Committee was held on Tuesday, November 18,
2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Eagan Room at Eagan City Hall. Members present were: Kim Hazel, Gin
Knight, Millie Gignac, Dawn Simpson, Alyce Bolke and Carolyn Krech. Also present was
Communication Coordinator Foote.
APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 7, 2008 MINUTES
The minutes of the October 7, 2008 Eagan Historical Society meeting were approved as
presented.
COMMUNITY PHOTO PROJECT
The Committee discussed the Community Photo Project. Simpson, Gignac and Foote
agreed to be present on both dates; April 25 and April 29. Foote will put a notice in the News from
the Front Porch to publicize the community photo project.
The Committee discussed the antique show, the need for additional space, and use of the
room across the hall. They further discussed holding the pot luck inside that room. It was decided
to ask people with photos to come early on both dates.
HISTORY MARKER – PARTICK EAGAN PARK MARKER
The Committee discussed the Patrick Eagan sign as a historical marker and discussed
having a sign made for the Eagan Room and also outside of City Hall.
POTENTIAL INTERN
The Committee discussed potential interns for the Eagan Historical Society and duties of the
intern.
DVD PROJECT FOR 2010 ANNIVERSARY
The Committee discussed the making of a DVD and comments were made that Martin
DesLauriers would be a great narrator for the DVD. The Committee discussed a timeline of what
would need to be done to have the project completed for 2010. It was noted that photos need to be
gathered and a script written during 2009.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Eagan Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009
at 3:30 p.m. in the Eagan Room. Gignac noted that she will not be in attendance at the January
meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Gignac made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 4:48 p.m. Bolke seconded the motion. All
members voted in favor.
