1914 Town Hall Building Reconstruction
Foote explained there has been another delay in the project bid award. The City was notified
that since Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds were awarded for the project, a
portion of which is Federal funding, this automatically triggers a State Historical Preservation
Organization (SHPO) review. This will determine whether the project needs to meet National
Registry requirements. Project architect Stuart McDonald indicates the plans have been
designed to meet or exceed these standards so he is not terribly concerned but the review
delays the award of bid until after its completion. Staff is hopeful the review will be done and
the award can be made at the August 3, City Council meeting. The pre-construction meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2015 and staff is hopeful it will occur as planned. The fundraising
meeting will be coordinated following the award of the contract.
Town Hall Displays Assembly

additional work sessions for this purpose in July and work on planning for the Streets Alive
