MEETING WITH DCHS STAFF
Communications Coordinator Foote noted in previous meetings it was discussed to invite the Dakota
County Historical Society to talk about potential partnership opportunities. Foote contacted Chad and
Rebecca at DCHS indicating the Historical Society would like to discuss potential partnership
opportunities for the two organizations and invited them to the October meeting. Foote noted Chad
was glad she called and thought there are plenty of opportunities to be discussed. Either Chad or
Rebecca or both of them, will plan to attend the October 2nd meeting at 3:30 p.m. Foote asked the
group to think about questions or opportunities to discuss with DCHS.

Communications Coordinator Foote noted Norma Wade had passed away and a message and photo was
posted in the Star Tribute from the Historical Society.
Bea Bloomquist had double bypass surgery and is in the hospital and should be moving to rehab shortly.
Tom Hedges will be announcing his retirement. If the Historical Society would like a more formal
project, such as a display or something along those lines, let Ms. Foote know. Maybe in November look
at holding a work session to discuss further options.
Ted Ringberg mentioned there is an opportunity to go behind the scenes at the State Archives. Ted has
