EAGAN SEQUICENTENNIAL PLANNING
The Sequicentennial Committee suggested that local organizations involved. be partners
in planning their events; each would submit a schedule of events and a calendar will be
made up indicating all of the activities planned. As many events as possible will be
coordinated with Eagan's Fourth of July celebration. At our January meeting, we will
select the dates for our Open Houses so they may be included in the calendar.
Joanna brought up the Video Project as one of the Historical Society's events. Presently
there are several videos available. Joanna has started a video of many historical events
and history of families which is an excellent beginning for the project. Someone from
ETV will attend our January meeting, at 2:00 P.M. to discuss their participation in the
preparation of this Video. The following members have volunteered to be on our Video
Committee: Dawn Simpson, Kim Hazel, Joan Remick -Kennedy and Caroline Krech.
The Sesquicentennial Planning Committee will hold its first meeting on January 9' at the
Community Center. The time and date will be posted on Eagan's web site, which is:
