• Prepared for the retirement of Tom Hedges, Eagan’s first City Administrator capping 36-year career with Eagan.
Collected and organized related photos, news clippings, oral interviews and other items for EHS collection,
display and community presentations.
• Continued community outreach with two Open Houses at the 1914 Town Hall attracting approximately 100
visitors; Hosted several scout troops at the 1914 Town Hall and presented Early Eagan History to 93-sixth
graders – the full sixth grade class – at Dakota Hills Middle School. Also partnered with Eagan Seniors
Organization on its 10-year anniversary event.
• Participated in the City of Eagan first-ever “Streets Alive” event on September 15, which drew some 3,000
attendees. EHS created a learning and entertainment area called “Dancing through the Decades” with music
from 1860 to present with corresponding interactive dances being performed and taught by members and
volunteers. Signage depicting historical highlights from Eagan’s 150-years was interpreted on corrugated signs
throughout the area.
• 1914 Town Hall Museum sustained significant damage due to an arson fire on September 8. Majority of museum
collection items were salvaged. Many are in need of additional restoration.
