II. SURPLUS FIRE STATIONS
Facts:
The City has been meeting periodically with the preferred proposer for the possible acquisition
of Fire Station #5
Recently, the City Attorney and City Administrator conducted a meeting with the preferred
proposer to share information and receive an update on possible terms of a purchase
agreement for Fire Station #5.
Staff will provide an update to the Finance Committee.
III. EXCESS CITY PROPERTY
Facts:
The City has been asked about its possible interest in selling excess property it owns locate near
the intersection of Federal Drive and Duckwood Drive, just west of Interstate Highway#35.
The lot size was originally 1.51 acres, with .75 acres utilized for Duckwood Drive ROW; thus
leaving .76 acres available for development.
The proposal would result in the construction of an oral surgery center.
The City would have to utilize a method to advertise and receive letters of interest, request for
proposals if interested in possibly selling; the interested party is aware of this possibility.
Staff will provide more information at the meeting, and seek direction on the level of interest in
selling this property.
