4715 Beacon Hill Rd - Stormwater Management
John Gorder From: Jon Hohenstein <cherryljon@outlook.com> Sent: Monday, May 14, 2018 2:38 PM To: John Gorder Subject: RE:April Meeting John, I doubt we'll hear more and I'm ready to step back from the idea, unless we do. From the perspective of my own interests, did Lane shoot the prospective water entry points into each of the houses. If so, is our house entry point above or below the high point of the current grades across the street? Let me know. Thanks. I understand and respect the concerns of adjacent property owners regarding yard disturbance during construction. Unfortunately, other construction options(such as"trenchiess" pipe-boring technologies)would also cause disturbances,at the ends of the pipe, and are not cost-effective at 2 to 3 times the cost of trenched pipe. Please let me know if you wish to discuss further. ,i -k, ; ,-7,%\,, John Gorder 14.,."`.: ,. , z ,, City Engineer * 'IP ) 3830 Pilot Knob Rd I Eagan,MN 55122 • o 'At = ••• Office:651-675-5645 ...„. httos://www.cityofeagan.com From: Jon Hohenstein [mailto:cherryljon@outlook.com] Sent: Friday, May 11, 2018 9:50 AM To: JoAnn Simser; Christopher Semsar Cc: John Gorder; Kristine Semdar(kristine.semsar(atarget.com); Jason Simser Subject: RE: April Meeting 1 Chris On May 7,2018 at 8:28 PM Jon Hohenstein<cherrvlionPoutlook.com>wrote: John, Thanks for getting back to us. Joann,Chris and Kris, I was out of town for a few days, but wanted to get back to everyone to see if you have any more thoughts about a pipe option with the yards restored at or near the current grades. Are you interested in John looking into things further, including him reaching out to the Harts? As John noted, if they were to do construction this year, he would need to get Council approval by one of their meetings in July. If a project were approved later, it could be done in 2019 instead. Thanks for discussing the options and sharing your concerns and interests. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you. Right now I would be available on any of those evenings. Since you indicated that there is no rush to make a decision, since the project is small enough to be added to the construction schedule later in the year,if the weather is still not conducive for a meeting in early March, I would be open to meeting later in March, too, perhaps when the thaw makes it easier to see the ground to better understand boundaries, contours and options. I'll wait to see what JoAnn,Chris and Kris would like to do. Take care. Jon From:John Gorder[mailto:JGorderc cityofeagan.com) Sent:Tuesday, February 20,2018 8:56 AM [ 7 If the project proceeds, the length of construction/grading would be fairly short (perhaps a week or two) so no rush is needed upfront to fit construction into the 2018 season. I am on vacation next week, and given JoAnn's availability, I propose we meet again later in February. I will make a note to reconnect with all then.
