We take care of getting the utilities marked prior to installation as well,but Gopher One just marks the public utilities that are buried when the home was originally built. We are not responsible for utility damage due to incorrect locate markings by Gopher One or their contactors. Northland Fence requires the customer to identify their property lines and most cities require locating the buried property pinslmarkers. Most pins can be located by renting a metal detector from a local hardware store. When renting,mention you're looking for the buried pins so they give you the proper tool. If you're still having troubles you may need to hire a local land surveyor. We can provide contact information for a surveyor,if needed. If you fail to expose your property lines and we put the fence where you tell us to put it,we cannot be responsible to move the fence for free. 4.) Do you have brush or other items in the proposed fence line that will need to be cleared or removed? If so,please make sure this is removed prior to your installation date to make the installation go smoothly. The crew will need ample space to work in. 5.) Fence installation time frames vary on the style of fence your installing. A chain link fence typically will take one day for installation in the spring summer and fall,but depending on size,may take up to 2 business days.(Please note that these days may not be consecutive.) All installations in the winter months take longer. (Please note:Custom welded gates require 14-21 business day time frame once the posts are in to get it custom welded.) 6.) We drive galvanized posts into the ground 48"below grade for vinyl and ornamental fence installations whenever possible. We then sleeve the galvanized posts with vinyl or ornamental posts and assemble the fence line. The process for this kind of installation could take as little as 1 day or 1-14 business days. This could run 14-21 business days in the winter months. (This may not be consecutive days.) The size of the yard,weather conditions, if you need custom welded gates to match the grade of the yard,and scheduling determine the timeframe for this process. 7.) On occasion,we may need to set a vinyl or ornamental fence installation in concrete. A post set installation will take longer. (These would be ornamental,vinyl and cedar fences.) Fence installations for these types of projects will be a two-step process.On day 1,we dig the footings and set the posts. The concrete will then have to cure. We will be back in the next 7-14 business days to hang the vinyl,wood or ornamental along with the gates. The concrete needs ample time to dry and we also have to allow time for scheduling around weather related delays. (Concrete takes longer to set in winter months as well. Please allow 14-21 days from start to finish in the winter months.) 8.) We do not take dirt away with us,but the crew will put the dirt where you'd like it.(Does not apply to any driven fence installations.) Many customers request the dirt be put under a deck or in a garden or landscaping area. If need be,we can remove and dispose of it for an additional fee. This must be prearranged with Northland Fence prior to the installation. �# 5 r✓ _R: to 10.) We require the homeowner to be home to meet with the crew on the first day of installation. You don't have to be there all day,but please be available by phone if you have to leave. Failure to be home on the installation date can result in rescheduling your installation. 11.) Cancellations are subject to 10%cancellation fee.However,you have 3 business days to cancel with 100%refund.
