Mayor Egan arrived at 5-05pm. Also pj' Tom Hedges, Assistant City Administrator Jamie Verbru gge and F '70ty' Mrk Gene VanOverbeke. CANVASSING 0f BALLOT*PMUNICIPAL ELECTION Acting Mayor Wachter called the meeting to order at 5-00p.m. Finance Director/City Clerk VanOverbeke presented the results of the municipal election as outlined in the attached Exhibit. Couricilmember Awada moved and Councilmember Blomquist seconded a motion to approve the results of the 1998 municipal election aspesented, Finance Director/City Clerk VqO"'Overbei60ioted that the election had gone very well with only a couple of small problems and signifidd# walti4l� only a couple of precincts. He also noted that a letter was sent to Mr. Joe Mazisky at thj.'.*ffice ofW Secretary of State by Councilmember Blomquist requesting his random review of ballot* :jrpo to determine the extent of ballots that were �&re the back of the ballot was blank. One blank on the back side.
