MEETING MINUTES OF JULY 16, 2018
A regular meeting of the Advisory Parks & Recreation Commission (APrC) began at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, July 16, 2018. Commission Members present included Member Michael Palmer,
Member Dorothy Peterson, Member Anita Pagey, Member Jerry Farlee, Member Aileen
Hough, Member Nathan Neuman, Member Linda Klein and Member Molly Schuetzle. Staff
members present Parks and Recreation Director Andrew Pimental. Parks Superintendent Paul
Graham and Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Palmer asked Director Pimental if there were any changes to the agenda. Director
Pimental stated there were no changes. Member Peterson moved, Member Klein seconded,
with all members present voting to adopt the agenda as presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Member Neuman moved, Member Farlee seconded, with all present members voting in favor
to approve the minutes of the June 18, 2018 workshop meeting, as presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
PRESENTATIONS
Capital Improvement Projects
Director Pimental introduced and discussed the Capital Improvement Plan for 2019-2023
Parks and Recreation Projects. Director Pimental showed images and brief descriptions
through a power point. Final discussions and approvals of projects will occur at the Joint
Meeting with City Council in September.

Haven Woods

Assistant Director Flewellen updated the Commission on the Haven Woods project. The
amount of houses was reduced from 13 to 9. The Commission approved cash dedication at
the March meeting.
STAFF REPORTS
Department Highlights
Director Pimental presented Department Highlights from recent activities in the Eagan Parks
and Recreation Department.
ROUNDTABLE
Member Hough expressed her excitement for how nice the gardens in the parked looked. She
also complimented the Cascade Bay staff.
Member Pagey gave compliments to the Eagan Parkrun program as well as the City achieving
GreenSteps Level 5.
Member Palmer was excited to see the large cricket tournament at Northview. He also
complimented the 2018 Public Art Benches.
Member Neuman complimented parks maintenance staff for the turf condition.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, Member Hough moved, Member Klein seconded with all
members present voting to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
