Regarding the driveway at 1742 Drake Dr, Eagan
Included with the Permit Application is the original site survey. It is not shown on
the site survey, but when we bought the house, there was an asphalt pad on the
side of the garage that was 9'8" wide and 24' deep, the same depth as the garage.
At this point we are replacing the original driveway and wish to widen the pad on
the side of the garage by 2' 4" to a width of 12'. The driveway curve from the side
pad to the main driveway would also be widen and gradually decrease/curve to
meet the original driveway.
I have included a scale drawing of the driveway portion of our lot. The red
markings indicate the additional proposed width. It is too small of a change to be
able to mark on the official site survey.
The driveway is on a slope. That helps make sure that any runoff goes down my
driveway into the street and will not affect the neighbor's yard.
