MINUTES OF MEETING OF APRIL 9, 2019
A regular meeting of the Eagan Energy and Environment Advisory Commission (EEAC) was held on Tuesday, April
9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagan City Hall. Those present were Member Fleenor, Member Dugan, Member
Trzpuc, Member Supina, Member Ziese, Member Miller, Member Mirick and Member Oxley. Staff members
present were Director of Parks and Recreation Andrew Pimental and Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation
Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Oxley asked if there were any changes to the agenda. Director Pimental stated there were none.
Member Mirick moved, Member Trzpuc seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt the
agenda with changes. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Member Supina moved to approve the minutes from February 12, 2019 meeting, Member Miller seconded, with
all present members voting in favor to adopt the minutes presented. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
There were no visitors to be heard.
VISITORS TO BE HEARD
PRESENTATIONS
Water Resources
City of Eagan Watershed Specialist, Gregg Thompson presented information on the different educational
programs the City of Eagan Water Resources team puts on throughout the year. Thompson promoted several
upcoming events that the City of Eagan is hosting or presenting at to get more information on how to be more
efficient with water use.

OLD BUSINESS
Goal Reports
Each chair provided updates on the latest meetings they had regarding their specific goals. Goals will continued
to be worked on throughout the commission meetings with further updates to be made at upcoming meetings.
• Member Miller is in the process of drafting a memo for fleet management options.
• Member Supina discussed goals to reduce waste and provided a draft memo to reviewed at the next
workshop
• Member Trzpuc discussed educational booths at city events and upcoming marketing opportunities.
• Member Ziese discussed the city action plan and mentioned the committee recently met with City of
Rosemount staff to gather more information.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Director Pimental presented Department Highlights from recent activities in the Eagan Parks and Recreation
Department.
ADJOURNMENT
After further brief discussion, Member Trzpuc moved, Member Fleenorr seconded with all members present
voting in favor to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
