As proposed, we are unable to approve this fence permit. There is a storm sewer where fence is proposed along the
rear lot line and a catch basin at the southwest corner of the lot. Please see the comments below from our Asst. City
Engineer, and revise the fence proposal to show more detail on where the pipe will be located in relation to the storm
sewer main, and also how you will keep the catch basin clear for drainage. Record plans are also attached for your
reference.

I have some concerns with this one. The record plans show the rear yard storm sewer on the property line (the air
photo shows it offset to the north), and the pipe only has about 2' of cover. They're proposing a solid privacy fence and
I'm worried that it'll block the rear yard storm sewer catch basin. I won't approve the plans if they are on top of the
pipe, or if it blocks access or flow to the catch basin. There is a huge drainage area that goes to this catch basin, so if it is
blocked, several houses will flood. Please ask them to revise to show more detail on where the pipe will be located in
relation to the storm sewer main, and also how they'll keep the catch basin clear for drainage. Thanks.
