I, Adam Reiter, PE License No. 50364, hereby certify that this letter or report was prepared by me or
under my direct supervision and that I am a duly Licensed Professional Engineer under the laws of the
state of Minnesota.
The as -built framing for areas of the new residence at 4013 Haven Woods Eagan MN 55123 was
inspected on September 14th, 2020. All framing members listed will be in acceptable condition for the
design loads provided the following changes are made:
1. Basement Back Window LVLs (Add 2 rows of nails 3" o.c. up from Posts through Top of Header)
2. Basement Left Door Header (Add 2 rows of nails 3" o.c. up from Posts through Top of Header)
3. Front Staircase Tall Wall Framing (Acceptable as is for Live Load, Wind Load, and Shear Loading)
4. Roof Truss Shear Wall Blocking (Acceptable as is)
Supporting inspection notes and qualitative analysis in provided in Attachment 1.

The back -window headers were checked to
ensure that they were in acceptable for
resisting wind and shear loading. The lower
framing in the windows, although it will resist
wind shear, it is not typically relied upon in
typical framing applications. In order to ensure
this framing meeting the requirements,
additional nails should be installed up the posts
through the top of the header. This connection
shall be 2 rows of 10D nails, 3" on -center.
There is no impact to the structure due to the
cutting of this gable truss to install the door
header. The gable truss is orientated to only
transfer downward load which is it is doing onto
the header. The shear loads are also no
impacted by this change. Similar to Item #1,
additional nails should be installed up the posts
through the top of the header. This connection
shall be 2 rows of 10D nails, 3" on -center.

The front stair case walls are of similar design to sport court tall walls. These walls were designed such
that the continuous double king studs are carrying all of the front wind loads and only the adjacent sides
to the windows are being relied upon for shear support. The current as -built framing of this wall is
acceptable for all applicable design loads without any additional changes being made.
Item 4: Roof Truss Shear Wall Blocking
Per MN Code, R602.10.8.2, for this type of truss connection, blocking shall be provided in accordance
with Figure R602.10.8.2(1). The as -built blocking is adequate for the design loads as configured without
any additional changes.
