05/29/2001 - City Council Special:i ~ y-'- ' city of eagan MEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILMEMBERS FROM: CITY ADMINISTRATOR HEDGES DATE: MAY 25, 2001 SUBJECT: TUESDAY, MAY 29, 2001 SPECIAL WORKSHOP The strategic plan workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. in the Fire Administration building. Generally, the purpose of the meeting is to provide the City Council with an update on the strategic plan and create opportunities for communication between the Council and staff: Per the direction and priorities of the City Council, joint advisory commission meetings have been scheduled for each commission. The Airport Relations Commission and the Waste Reduction and Recycling Advisory Commission are scheduled at 5:00 and 5:45 p.m. respectively for the purpose of discussing pending or upcoming issues with the City Council. At the conclusion of the joint meetings, staff will provide a goals update. For your convenience, here is a brief summary of some goals that have progressed since our last update. If any member of the City Council or staff would like a copy of the entire strategic plan, please let me know and we will provide it to you at the meeting. During the goals portion of the workshop, the City Attorney would like the City Council to suspend the meeting and meet in Executive Session for an update on the condemnations for the Silver BelUBeau D'Rue intersection project.
