MINUTES OF.MEETING OF'AUGUST 10, 2020
A regular meeting of the Eagan Energy and Environment Advisory Commission (EEAC) was held on Monday,
August 10, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. virtually. Those present were Member Hash, Member Supina, Member Ziese,
Member Robicheaux, Member Trzpuc, Member Dugan, Member Palmer and Member Timmons. Staff members
present were Director of Parks and Recreation Andrew Pimental and Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation
Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Trzpuc asked if there were any changes to the agenda. Assistant Director Flewellen stated there were
none. Member Supina moved, Member Timmons seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt
the agenda with changes. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Member Ziese moved to approve the minutes from June 9, 2020 meeting, Member Dugan seconded, with all
present members voting in favor to adopt the minutes presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
There were no visitors to be heard.

Introduction of New Members
Assistant Director Jared Flewellen introduced the three newly appointed commissioners; Makayla Palmer, Brian
Hash and Dan Robicheaux.

Election of Officers
Assistant Director Flewellen called for nominations for the three commission positions: Chair, Vice Chair and
Secretary.
Member Supina moved, Member Dugan seconded, with all present members voting in favor to approve
Commissioner Trzpuc for the Chair position. Aye:7 Nay: 0
Member Dugan moved, Member Supine seconded, with all present members voting in favor to approve
Commissioner Ziese for the Vice Chair position. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
Member Dugan moved, Member Trzpuc seconded, with all present members voting in favor to approve
Commissioner Supina for the Secretary position. Aye:7 Nay: 0
PRESENTATIONS
GreenSteps 2020
Director of Parks and Recreation Andrew Pimental provided an update on the GreenSteps program. Director
Pimental stated that we were awarded Level 5 but have not received the plague for the level due to scheduling
conflicts. Director Pimental also provided shortfalls in 2020 and areas where the City will be improving in 2020.
ROUNDTABLE
Goals 2020.2021
Chair Trzpuc navigated a conversation as the commission briefly discussed through possible goals for the 2020-
21 season. These goals were originally discussed during the lune 9, 2020 meeting. Multiple commissioners
shared their concepts on the goals. The Commission agreed to discuss goals during a September workshop.
Introduction of Returning Members
The returning commissioners all briefly introduced themselves and their experience with the Energy and
Environment Advisory Commission.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Director Pimental presented highlights from recent activities in the Eagan Parks and Recreation Department.

After further brief discussion, Member Timmons moved, Member Supina seconded with all members present
voting in favor to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
