MEETING MINUTES OF JULY 20, 2020;
A regular meeting of the Advisory Parks & Recreation Commission (APrC) began at 5:30 p.m.
on Monday, July 20, 2020. Commission Members present included Member Palmer, Member
McWilliams, Member Klein, Member Moore, Member Pagey, Member Rayman and Member
Schuetzle. Member Hough was absent. Staff members present Parks and Recreation Director
Andrew Pimental, Parks Superintendent Paul Graham and Assistant Parks and Recreation
Director Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Klein asked Director Pimental if there were any changes to the agenda. Director
Pimental stated there were no changes. Member Rayman moved, Member Pagey seconded,
with all members present voting to adopt the agenda as presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES,
Member Rayman moved, Member Pagey seconded, with all present members voting in favor
to approve the minutes of June 15, 2020 workshop meeting as presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
VISITORS TO BE HEARD
There were no visitors to be heard at this time.
OLD BUSINESS
2020 Projects Update .
Parks Superintendent Paul Graham provided an update with imaginary of the 2020 Parks and
Recreation Capital Improvement Projects. All projects have begun and are on schedule for the
expected completion date.

NEW BUSINESS
2021 Capital Improvement Projects
Director Andrew Pimental presented the draft of the 2021 Parks and Recreation Capital
Improvement Projects. Director Pimental highlighted that the anticipated budget would be
scaled down compared to prior years. Director Pimental mentioned further discussion would be
had in upcoming APRC meetings.
Pocket Park
Director Andrew Pimental presented the Pocket Park installation on the site of City Hall
adjacent from Civic Center Drive. The park completion date is anticipated to be late 2020.
Member Schuetzle moved, Member Moore seconded, with all present members voting in favor
to approve the naming of the Pocket Park to be Civic Center Park. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
STAFF REPORTS
Department Highlights
Assistant Director Flewellen presented Department Highlights from recent activities in the
Eagan Parks and Recreation Department.
ROUNDTABLE
Member Schuetzle expressed interest in the Market Fest CSA as a good option for the Market
items while social distancing.
Member Klein invited residents to come out to Holz Farm to enjoy the park.
Member Pagey was expressed that Thomas Lake Native Prairie is in full bloom and that
residents should visit the park.
Member Rayman was pleased with the upkeep and the effort of the staff to keep the parks
looking good.

ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to discuss, Member Palmer moved, Member Schuetzle seconded
with all members present voting to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:30
p. M.
