MINUTES OF MEETING OF AUGUST 17, 2026,
A regular meeting of the Advisory Parks & Recreation Commission (APrC) began at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August
17, 2020 virtually. Commission Members present included Member Power, Member McWilliams, Member
Klein, Member Moore, Member Schuetzle and Member Hough. Member Pagey and Member Rayman were
absent. Staff members present Parks and Recreation Director Andrew Pimental, Parks Superintendent Paul
Graham and Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Klein asked if there were any changes to the agenda. Assistant Director Flewellen stated there were
none. Member McWilliams moved, Member Hough seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt
the agenda with changes. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Member Power moved to approve the minutes from July 20, 2020 meeting, Member Schuetzle seconded, with
all present members voting in favor to adopt the minutes presented. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
There were no visitors to be heard.

Introduction of New Members
Assistant Director Jared Flewellen introduced the newly appointed commissioner Rachel Power to the APRC.

Election of Officers
Director Pimental called for nominations for the three commission positions: Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.
Member Schuetzle moved, Member Hough seconded, with all present members voting in favor to approve
Commissioner Klein forthe Chair position. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
Member Klein moved, Member Hough seconded, with all present members voting in favorto approve
Commissioner Schuetzle for the Vice Chair position. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
Member Klein moved, Member Schuetzle seconded, with all present members voting in favor to approve
Commissioner Moore for the Secretary position. Aye: 6 Nay: 0
PRESENTATIONS
Capital Improvement Projects 2020/21
Director of Parks and Recreation Andrew Pimental and Parks Superintendent Paul Graham provided an update
on the Capital Improvement Projects for 2020 and 2021. Superintendent Graham showed a presentation with
updated images for 2020 projects as well as discussed potential for 2021 projects.
ROUNDTABLE
Member McWilliams — Would like attention to the landscaping at South Oaks Park.
Member Hough —Complimented staff on how tremendous the parks and trails are currently.
Member Power — Complimented how clean the parks and trails are.
Member Klein — Would like to thank Commissioner Palmer for her tenure and all the other Commissioners for
their service.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Director Pimental presented highlights from recent activities in the Eagan Parks and Recreation Department.
ADJOURNMENT
After further brief discussion, Member McWilliams moved, Member Moore seconded with all members present
voting in favor to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
