We are not installing a patio. It will just be crushed gravel with landscape fabric underneath it. The fire pit will be a single row of smaller boulders with an inside dimension of 3 feet. The lower wall will be no taller than 4 feet including all base materials and the upper wall will be about 3 feet. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks again! I have a couple of questions as I am looking at the 171724 submittal. 1. Are you also installing the fire pit and patio? The plan will need to be revised to identify distances. The fire pit must be a minimum of 25 feet from the deck. Please refer to the recreational fire handout I’ve attached for your use. 2. The wall AND footings must be under 4 feet or a building permit is required. This includes any type of gravel base under the boulder wall. Please verify the total height. 3. The walls look far enough apart but please provide the distance between the two walls as well as distance to the property lines. 4. I’ve attached the retaining wall handout for your use as well.
