Representing one of the.f„g- - est investments in a i:ew plant in this -area in the past few years, the new facility is ex- pected to provide jobs fdr, about 250 employes. Ground will be broken for the new plant some three'. next spring, it was reported.,, The site is about one-fourth mile southwest of the L u 11 Engineering Co. on hwy. 13 in Eagan township. The Brock- way firm reportedly surveyed several other possible sites in the state before settling on the one in Dakota county. The new facility will pro- duce flint (clear) glass con- tainers for use by some of the large industries of the Twin Cities, such as the cosmetics industry in St. Paul, it was reported. Officials of t h e Brockway firm will come to St. Paul next week and are expected to re- lease full details of their plans at a press conference.
