THE BFAUDETTM FAMILY
Octave Beaudette was born ca. 17FSg and was an original
settler at Mendota. He died May 15, 1g75 at the age of g7
and is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Mendota.
Flavien Beaudette and Odile La Fleur were pioneer im-
migrants from Quebec. Their Son Louis Phillip Beaudette was
one of the first white children to be born in Mendota. July
11, 1R55.
Louis Philip served as a railroad station agent at
Mendota for 53 years until his retirement in July 1936. He
died June 5, 193g.

maker in the village of Mendota.

Ferdinand (Fred) Beaudette was born December 23, 1g61 in
Quebec Province. He was the son of Pierre Napoleon Beaudet
and Julie Maynard.
He emigrated to the U. S and settled at Mendota in about
1R76. In 1gg7 he married Lumena, daughter of 7Ngene Lemay, he
was engaged in farming throughout his lifetime.

in St. Peter's Cemetery.
He was survived by a sister, Mrs. i+m'meline Tremblay of
Manchester, N. H. in addition to his wife and daughters and
sons.
Ephraim resides in Prior lake in his nineties, 19S2.
Fosstin and his son Gordon were well known for drilling
wells in this area.
Ephraim was known in the area for sawing lumber and
wood for the kitchen and living room stoves.

THE BEAUDETTE FAMILY
Beaudette was a well-known name in Eagan and Lendota from
the area's early settlement. .Octave Beaudette was one of
Mendota's first settlers.

'Ferdinand Beaudette emigrated from Quebec and settled in
Mendota about 1876. The next year he married._.umena, the
daughter of Eugene emery; he was a farmer throughout his life.
Ferdinand's son .Ephraim sawed lumber for kitchen and Living
room stoves; Ephraim's brother Fosstin was a well driller in
the area.
