GENERAL NOTES:

6.THE CONSTRUCTION SITE SHOULD BE SUFFICIENTLY SIZED FOR THE CONTRACTOR'S
CONSTRUCTION STAGING AREA AND MATERIALS LAY DOWN AREA. HOWEVER, IF THE

ADEQUATELY PREVENT LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE CONTRACTOR'S EQUIPMENT AND
MATERIALS.
8.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFINE THEIR OPERATIONS WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION SITE.
ANY DISTURBANCE OUTSIDE OF THE CONSTRUCTION LIMITS WHICH RESULTS FROM THE
CONTRACTOR'S AND/OR HIS SUBCONTRACTOR'S ACTIVITIES, WITHOUT THE WRITTEN
AUTHORIZATION OF THE ENGINEER IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. RECLAMATION OF SUCH
DISTURBANCE WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.
9.SITE RESTORATION SHALL BE COMPLETED BY CONTRACTOR.
10. ALL SOILS DISTURBED FROM POT HOLING AND STORM SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE
INSTALLATION MUST BE PLACED IN OWNER PROVIDED CONTAINERS FOR PROPER
DISPOSAL. TRENCH BACKFILL MUST BE IMPORTED CLEAN MATERIAL APPROVED BY
ENGINEER.
ENVIRONMENTAL NOTES:
1. PREPARE AND SUBMIT SITE SAFETY PLAN, PERMITS, AND REQUIRED SUBMITTALS BEFORE START OF
CONTAMINATED SOIL WORK.
2. DIVERT WATER AWAY FROM LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO EXCAVATION OF CONTAMINATED SOIL AND
PROPERLY MANAGE.
3. EXCAVATE CONTAMINATED SOILS PRIOR TO REMOVAL OF CLEAN SOIL FOR ONSITE REUSE. OWNER OR
ENGINEER WILL COLLECT VERIFICATION SAMPLES.
4. OWNER OR ENGINEER SHALL FIELD SCREEN EXCAVATED SOIL FOR CONTAMINATION AND TO VERIFY THE SOIL
IS CLEAN FOR REUSE ON THE PROPERTY.
5. CONTAMINATED SOIL EXCAVATED FOR CONSTRUCTION MUST BE PROPERLY MANAGED INCLUDING SAMPLING
OF STOCKPILES AND TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL AT A PERMITTED LANDFILL. CONTAMINATED SOIL
ABOVE GOPHER'S CLEAN UP GOAL OF 500 MG/KG LEAD, REQUIRES PROPER MANAGEMENT.
6. CONTAMINATED WATER REMOVED DURING CONTAMINATED SOIL EXCAVATION SHALL BE PROPERLY MANAGED
ACCORDING TO ATTACHMENT E (LANDMARK - WORK PLAN GOPHER RESOURCE SHIPPING ROOF).
7. ASSUME SOIL THAT CONTAINS BATTERY CHIPS IS CONTAMINATED AND REQUIRES PROPER MANAGEMENT AS
CONTAMINATED SOIL.
8. UNEXCAVATED CONTAMINATED SOIL CAN REMAIN ON PROPERTY. THE SOIL MUST BE COVERED WITH
DEMARCATION MARKER THAT COULD INCLUDE ORANGE SILT FENCE, ORANGE CLASS 5 BACKFILL MATERIAL
WITH DISTINCT DIFFERENCE IN COLOR IN COMPARISON TO NATIVE MATERIAL (TO BE APPROVED BY MPCA) OR
OTHER OPTIONS. AS ENVIRONMENTAL COVENANT WILL BE PLACED ON THE PROPERTY FOR REMAINING
CONTAMINATED SOIL.
9. THE CONTRACTOR MUST PROVIDE A SOIL SAMPLE OF CLEAN POTENTIAL OFFSITE BACKFILL TO OWNER OR
ENGINEER TO VERIFY LACK OF CONTAMINATES, PRIOR TO HAULING TO THE PROPERTY.
10. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL DOCUMENTATION ELECTRONICALLY (SCANNED) INCLUDING MANIFESTS
AND WEIGH TICKETS SUMMARIES OF CONTAMINATED SOIL, LOAD TICKETS FOR ONSITE REUSE OF SOIL, AND
LOAD TICKETS FOR CLEAN OFFSITE SOIL USED FOR BACKFILL.

5.CONTRACTOR SHALL SAWCUT FULL DEPTH AT PAVEMENT REMOVAL LIMITS AND AS NECESSARY TO CREATE A
SMOOTH FIT/TRANSITION ALONG MATCHING PAVEMENT AREAS.
6.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE UTILITY REMOVAL WORK WITH APPROPRIATE UTILITY OWNER.
7.CONTRACTOR SHALL SALVAGE AND REINSTALL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND OTHER SIGNS IN CONFLICT WITH CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITIES AS REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION. IF SIGNS ARE DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION, CONTRACTOR
REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW SIGNS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
8.CONTRACTOR SHALL SALVAGE AND REINSTALL FENCE IN CONFLICT WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AS REQUIRED
FOR CONSTRUCTION. IF FENCE IS DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION, CONTRACTOR REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AND
INSTALL NEW FENCE, TO OWNER'S SATISFACTION, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
9.IN THE EVENT THAT UNKNOWN CONTAINERS OR TANKS ARE ENCOUNTERED, THE CONTRACTOR MUST CONTACT THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONAL IMMEDIATELY. ALL CONTAINERS OR TANKS MUST BE DISPOSED OF PROPERLY AT A
REGULATED/PERMITTED FACILITY.
TRAFFIC CONTROL NOTES

5.CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLETE CONCRETE WASH-OUT OFF-SITE OR PROVIDE SELF-CONTAINED CONCRETE READY
MIX TRUCKS.
6.CONTRACTOR SHALL MINIMIZE DUST FROM CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS BY PROVIDING WATER OR OTHER
APPROVED METHOD ON A DAILY BASIS AND AS REQUIRED BY THE LANDMARK ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTS.
7.CONTRACTOR SHALL PHASE GRADING WORK TO MINIMIZE THE DURATION THAT DISTURBED SOIL IS EXPOSED.
8.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE/INSTALL DIVERSION DITCHES AND OTHER EROSION PROTECTION/SEDIMENT CONTROL
