MINUTES OF MEETING OF JUNE 8, 2021
A regular meeting of the Eagan Energy and Environment Advisory Commission (EEAC) was held on Tuesday, June
8, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. virtually. Those present were Member Swanlund, Member Ziese, Member Robicheaux,
Member Sood, Member Dugan, Member Ferber, Member Oldenburg Giebel and Member Timmons. Staff
members present were Parks and Recreation Director Andrew Pimental and Assistant Director of Parks and
Recreation Jared Flewellen.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA,
Member Ziese asked if there were any changes and Assistant Director Flewellen stated none. Member Dugan
moved, Member Robicheaux seconded, with all present members voting in favor to adopt the agenda as
presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Member Dugan moved to approve the minutes from April 13, 2021 meeting, Member Timmons seconded, with
all present members voting in favor to adopt the minutes presented. Aye: 7 Nay: 0
There were no visitors to be heard.

Introduction of New Members
Assistant Director Flewellen introduced the four new commissioners appointed to the Commission in 2021.
• Member Seth Swanlund was appointed to a two year term.
• Member Dan Ferber was appointed to a one year term.
• Member Sudarshan Sood was appointed to a one year term.
• Member Rebecca Oldenburg Giebel was appointed to a two year term.

Goals 2021-2022
Chair Dugan navigated a conversation as the commission discussed through possible goals for the 2021-22
season. The concept of the discussion was to share ideas that could be discussed further at the July workshop
during a Julylworkshop and narrow rs do n t theirred 3 to be presented goals.

Commissioner Dugan invited all Commissioners to attend the upcoming Resilient Communities meeting.
Commissioner Robicheaux welcomed all new commissioners.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES
Assistant Director Flewellen reviewed the current events and news related to the City of Eagan in the topics of
energy and environment.
ADJOURNMENT
After further brief discussion, Member Ferber moved, Member Robicheaux seconded with all members present
voting in favor to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
