The rapidly -expanding popula-
tion of .Dakota rountf came one
step colaer to bring insurrd of an-
other independent school dlxtrict
this week.
The Scott county board of com-
misdonera head back so acres of
land in Distrk n 15, but approved
the release of the remainder of
the land for the new pr, pcmed in-
dependent district. The 80 acres
held back was not adjacent, there-
fore it could not be a part of
District 15. The so screx of land
was declared unorganized territory
until other arrangements can be
made, according to Angeline Hin-
Iker, superintendent of schools.
The new district will vote on
February 14. at 8 p.m. at District
15. on the question of whether or
not to be an. independent district.

tandent will present a plat of the
dJtistrict to the state for approval
of the area as a consolidated In-
dependent district.
